Story of Face Team

Face Team was founded in January 2004 by Aron Takacs in Tata, Hungary after he won the Hungarian "Nike It's Right Freestyle" contest. There were 8 guys on the team, all friends, all Hungarians. The first performance was at Aron's high school after the headmaster asked him to perform. He did not want to perform alone, so he invited his friends that he played basketball with to join him and that way include slam dunks in the performance. Actually, Aron used to be a professional basketball player in Hungary but he gave it up because of the Face Team.

The staff and students loved the performance so much that Aron decided to form Face Team with his 8 friends performing slam dunks and acrobatics using mini trampolines. By the way, those were not trampolines but springboards.

The team started to train with gymnasts from the University of Physical Education to learn more acrobatic moves on trampolines. We also worked on choreographing a routine that would include music to enhance the performance. Training hard to learn new tricks and variations is very important to the whole team, to make the show unforgettable each time it is seen.

Face Team now performs all over the world. From Tokio to Los Angeles, the team enjoys traveling to new countries, learning new cultures and meeting great people along the way. We are really proud to have the privilege to perform and to see a smile on every face in the audience.

The team practices hard figuring out new variations of dunks and is always looking for new talented performers. Maybe you will be the next Face Team member!
